Dr. T. S. Kler

Padma Bhushan Dr. Kler is a renowned figure in the area of cardiology. During his illustrious career spanning over 37 years, he has done more than 35,000 coronary, renal, carotid, and peripheral angioplasties.
A trailblazer in electrophysiology, he is also the one who set up the first electrophysiology department in India in a premier hospital in Delhi. He was the first physician in India to implant ICD, CRT-P, & CRT-D. He was also the first physician in India to carry out HIS Bundle Pacing in 2015. He played a pivotal role in initiating RF ablation & Cardiac Device Implantation Programme in different leading centres of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), UK and Fellow of American College of Cardiology, Dr. Kler is also Honorary Professor of Cardiology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and O.P. Jindal University, Sonipat. He has guided over 300 doctors from India and overseas in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. He is also a scientific advisor to different multinational companies listed in the USA.
He has written approximately 150 articles in both national and international publications. A noted orator, Dr. Kler speaks at various national and international conferences such as HRS and ACC on a regular basis. He is frequently invited as a Guest Faculty to the USA, France, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore and Pakistan.
In 2005, he was conferred with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his invaluable contribution to medicine. He has also received the D.Sc (Honoris Causa) by Punjab University, Lifetime Achievement Award by Indian Medical Association and Times Healthcare Achievers Awards: Legend of Medicine amongst many others. He has been awarded the Delhi Medical Association Centenary Award
